Welcome to Georgia's oldest bookstore! Horton's Books & Gifts is a wonderful and quirky independent bookstore in downtown Carrollton, GA. We opened in 1891 and are still going strong, providing the best selection of books across many genres as well as lovely gifts for all ages.

We are filled with small town charm and have a little bit of everything for everyone. Our store cats say it all - we are PURR-fect!

Our mission is to provide the best service possible for our wonderful customers that visit the store - be it on a regular basis by locals from the greater Atlanta area or if they have traveled 1,000s of miles from other countries. We enjoy hearing travel tales and helping folks find the perfect books and gifts for them.
